Case Study - Teams, Leadership & Management Training
Our long term client in the Not-For-Profit sector had issues with a number of their young managers, who had been promoted for their functional capability, rather than their ability to manage people.
This is a common issue with managers: they are good at their functional job, so are appointed manager of all those in that function. This led to problems with the managers not having the skills to effectively manage.
We had already completed compliance training in Industrial Relations requirements specific to Australia with our client (sexual harassment training for employees; positive duty training; workplace bullying training etc.) and now worked with them to deliver corporate training options.
Over time we have delivered ongoing management training and leadership training programs both face-to-face in Sydney and through Webinars and MS Teams. We covered management training topics, and developed bespoke specific options including Critical Thinking Skills, DISC for Managers, Understanding People and Management Tactics.
We then moved the corporate training into leadership development, highlighting leadership qualities, traits and training through our Leadership Training Programs.
We continue to work yearly with this client on maintaining the management abilities of the team as well as developing leadership through the organisation.
