A long term client had implemented a process of performance management, with a worker who was having performance and productivity issues.
It was a difficult situation as the worker displayed a pattern of improvement, but then decline back into performance problems. Both the employer and the employee were becoming increasingly frustrated.
CIRCLE HR was called in to introduce a stronger performance management process.
Having a fair and equitable performance management system, we were a able to address the ongoing pattern of performance issues at work and bring the situation to a conclusion.
The employee then attempted to make a psychological injury claim against the employer. As we were able to demonstrate reasonable ongoing performance management, with documentation and fairness to the employee, the claim was not accepted, the medical certificate was deemed invalid and we were able to successfully bring the performance management to its final conclusion.
